Teachers Day Celebration Teachers’ Day was celebrated on, 5th September in school with great fervor. A great show dedicated to teachers was organized . The day buzzed with excitement and smiles all around, bringing everyone’s attention to the immense importance of teachers and the role they play in children’s lives. Thereafter it was fun and frolic starting with a humorous activity ‘Teach our Teachers’ which had the students in splits of laughter as teachers tried to answer the ‘tough’ questions asked by the students. Music engulfed everyone with a graceful dance performance by the girl. The teachers of the pre-primary wing played a paper dance for their little ones to enjoy. The students applauded them as they were surprised by their great sportsmanship Teachers’ Day will never be complete without the students mimicking their teachers. All the programs were enjoyed by the teachers.
Eminence Education Society's Teachers Training Course trains girls and women to provide a clear understanding of different methods, maxims and principles that are associated with pre-school teaching. It enables them to become a good teacher by imparting all-round knowledge about the child. It expose them to the various elements that are interrelated and play an important role in the education of the child. This Teachers Training enriches their knowledge in various aspects like stages of human development, principles of education, the needs and rights of children, play activities that foster development, etc. We give theoretical knowledge but it also teaches them how to apply this theoretical knowledge in practical pre-school situations. It will equip them to organise, manage and provide quality services to children under care in diverse child-care settings such as crèches, pre-schools, nursery schools, kindergartens and day-care centres.
School educational trips enhance students learning experience by providing opportunities to participate in activities outside their normal routine. We had such a learning opportunity by visiting the near by local post office. The children were excited to see how letters were stamped, sorted and put into different pigeon holes as per the area they had to be delivered . The children were taken around to see various counters catering to the public. It was a wonderful learning experience for the children to see how a post office functions as this means of communication is becoming ancient. The children saw a letter box – they posted small letters in it. They were happy to meet the postman and see his shelf with loads of letters. The trip was full of fun and excitement and great learning about the post office in today’s time of e-mails. As an educative and fun filled trip, it left a lasting impression on the young minds.
